From cero to more than 500 organic Instagram followers in less than 5 months.

I decided to follow a challenge to create an Instagram account from scratch and grow it organically. I know this is 2024 and right now growing organically is a very difficult task. Even though this I wanted to test out this theory to find out if it could be done and I did. I know 500 followers doesn’t seem like a huge deal, but it is the first important tier in your journey to becoming viral. This is what I did on my account that you can replicate easily.

1.      Create an Instagram theme page.

Create an Instagram theme page that is in accordance with the content that you want to share. It could be motivation, business advice, financial advice, fun, fitness, etc. My page is about motivation. It is called @motivationalexel and you can click here, to access it. Once you have the theme page that you want to create, give it a short description and reference three key words that are connected to the theme that you just created. This will help the algorithm reference your page and promote it to your target audience.

2.      Search for similar content.

You are going to search reels on Instagram that pertain to the subject of your theme page. In my case they are motivational reels that push you to act upon your goals and dreams. Select the reels that have upwards of 300,000 views or likes and download them. I use a website that it’s called: www.save-free.com. Once you download them tweak them and make them your own with the tools provided to you on Instagram. I like to write additional inspiring quotes based on the video. Remember to always give credit to the owner of the video or the page where you got the reel. It will also serve you to follow those theme pages, so you can learn from them.

3.      Share consistently.

Remember that this requires some effort on your part. You must consistently share these reels on your theme page. I recommend that you share at least four reels per day. You can do it whenever you have some free time. If this is a side hustle, do it when you are out of your primary work, but do it daily. This will compound and help you grow. At the beginning you will get 1 follower per reel post it. But this is going to change fast as long as you keep positing consistently to show the algorithm that you are a serious player.
